We're glad to inform you all that at the moment besides translating by Google service, DeepL, we do support to translate target languages through OpenAI translation.

As long as you already registered a license of OpenAI translation, then you can enter the API key into Language settings. After that you can use this option to translate target language.

I. HOW TO GET API KEY FROM OPEN AI

Access on this link https://platform.openai.com/apps => Select API

Choose Setting => Limit => Check if your rate limit is from Tier 1 (gpt-4-turbo) and above, because we just support the model (gpt-4-turbo) and above. If your current tier is Free plan (gpt-3.5-turbo) which is not working with our app, please upgrade your rate limit starting to Tire 1

Finally choose API => Create a new secret key => paste the key to our app

In this article, you will find how to exclude word(s) such as brand name, navigation on menu bar, etc to be never translated or always translated in a custom way which is called Glossary feature.

The rules added to the Glossary allows translating some words in a specific way so that helps you a lot in managing your translation.

Only available at least GROWTH plan and applicable for Editable language type.
GROWTH: able to add 100 rules
PREMIUM: able to add 500 rules
ENTERPRISE: unlimited rules
Besides above available plans, you can choose to extend resource limit to get a custom plan that fits your specific needs.

Please be advised that this is function to set up Settings to DEFINE never translate or translate a specific text(s) in a custom way. After setting, to make Glossary rule work, you need to click Translate button on those texts/contents in Manage translation as usual process to make the rule applied.

What is Geolocation?

Geolocation is the process of determining the location of an electronic device. Transcy provides 2 key features: Language and Currency. While currency will always be redirected based visitor's location, language will be redirected depending on the conditions you select choose between Visitor browser's language and Visitor's location.

There are 2 modes of Geolocation:

Auto switch: automatically direct to the language/ currency right after entering your online store.
Recommend: show a recommendation popup of the location, language and currency, visitors are allowed to confirm and process to the correct version - Please be noted that in some countries, auto directing to another URL without confirmation might not be allowed. We suggest to use Recommend popup instead.

What is target language

Target language is the language you wish to add to your website besides your store default language so that your customers could view your store easily in their preferred language by selecting a target language on Switcher.
Default language is the language you set for your store on Shopify. Your visitors will see this language at default if their preferred language (target language) isn't available. Transcy will use this language as the first language to translate into targeted languages.

What target language type is supported in Transcy

In Transcy, we define 2 types of language: Non-Editable and Editable language.

${color}[#2c82f2](Non-Editable language) which uses google.translate.js (AI) to translate your website automatically when visitor change language by switcher on store-front. It is unable to edit the translation for non-editable languages and unconfigurable with Shopify market. You just publish this language by turning ON the button to get your store automatically translated without any other actions.

You already translated whole your store in target languages completely but later then you might have added more pages or changed some new contents on those translated pages, the Auto Translate function will help you a lot in updating the new translation for those new contents already changed promptly.

Example: You have changed the product title of a product page in Shopify (default language) and already set up Auto translate function for that product page, the app will detect new content of the product title and translate that new title automatically to update your product translation in target languages.

Go to Translation menu --> Auto Translate --> click on Set up now
Choose the target language you want to set up Auto translate
