How will I be charged if I do upgrade/downgrade from lower to higher plan?
At the moment, we are using Shopify Payment system. So all charges are modified via Shopify. Check this article to know more information
Upgrading
In this case, when you upgrade from a LOWER to a HIGHER plan, the charge is prorated based on the difference in price and the number of days remaining in the billing cycle according to Shopify Policy
For example:
Example 1: You begin a 30-day billing cycle on a GROWTH plan, which is $29.9, and then upgrade to an PREMIUM plan, which is $59.9 plan on day 10 of the billing cycle.
=> You'd be charged ($59.9 - $29.9) * ((30-10)/30) = $20 (+ $29.90 of Growth plan at the begin of the app billing cycle)
Example 2: You upgrade from GROWTH to PREMIUM on the same day, you'll get 2 charges, $29.90 for Growth plan and $30 for the difference of 2 plans. In total $59.90 plan
Downgrading
Monthly plans: According to Shopify "When you downgrade your plan by moving from a more expensive charge to a less expensive charge, you're automatically offered an application credit based on the difference in price and the number of days remaining in the billing cycle. This application credit can be used towards any future application purchase on Shopify."
Annual plan: If you switch from an annual plan with a higher price to an annual plan with a lower price, or from an annual plan to a 30 day plan, then the charge for the new plan is deferred until the current plan's subscription cycle is complete. For example, if you begin an annual subscription plan in January, but switches to a 30 day plan in September, then the new 30 day plan will start when the annual plan expires in January of the next year. Shopify has stated this rule here
NOTE:
The first app charge billing cycle is counted after trial period. Each monthly cycle lasts long 30 days, each annual cycle lasts long for 1 year, after the cycle ends the charge will be recurred automatically. The charge is included in your Shopify monthly bill
With a Paid plan, will I be charged again when doing uninstall, and re-install Transcy app?
